Director Shaji Kailas is upset-Actress Meera Nanda is off to the US

Director Shaji Kailas is upset about rumours doing the rounds on 'Godse', the segment starring Prithviraj that he is to direct for Vinod Vijayan's action anthology, 'D-Company'.

Refuting reports that the segment is shelved, the director reacts, "It's not true. Godse is very much on and I will be directing it." Will Prithviraj be part of the film? "That's our plan. But before directing Godse, I have a prior commitment with another production house; again, for a Prithviraj movie. So if I have to do Godse, I will have to first finish this commitment. But if the makers are in a hurry to finish D-Company, then they are welcome to change the cast," he says.

Godse is said to be about the conflict of emotions that Nathuram Vinayak Godse goes through on the night before he kills Mahatma Gandhi.

It was a busy year for Mollywood actress Meera Nanda, who is getting busier by the day in Kannada and Telugu as well. The actress, who plays a prominent role alongside none other than the Big M of Mollywood, Mohanlal, in Lokpal says she is being selective of late. For the very reason she has not signed any new Malayalam movie. "I am on a short break this December. However, I will be busy with stage shows and other functions this month," says Meera.

The actress will fly to the US for a few days to take part in a programme organised the Malayali association there. Back home, she has a stage show lined up where she will be performing a dance sequence.

"So, it won't be exactly a break. It is just that I won't be shooting for any movie in December," says the actress. Meera has signed her second Kannada movie by director Amar of Dildaara fame for which she will start shooting in January in Mysore. -Times of India
